The Georgian U23 team finished the European Championships, held in Chisinau, the capital of Moldova, with six medals in the individual events. Giorgi Jabniashvili claimed the European title in the -90 kg category, defeating the home favorite, Mihail Latishev, in the final. Earlier, Giorgi had overcome opponents from Spain, Portugal, and Azerbaijan.

Silver medals were won by Mate Gogoberishvili (-60 kg) and Mate Beruashvili (-73 kg), while bronze medals went to Nino Loladze (-57 kg), Kote Kapanadze (-81 kg), and Shalva Gureshidze (+100 kg).
